How can you improve your marketing capability online?

I’m selling things on Ebay, and my items aren’t even getting noticed. I’m trying to start an Ebay business, but there’s no way I’d even waste my money buying products trying to start a business and theres’ no sure fire way that my items I’m trying to sell will even getting notice from anyone. I have a hard time getting people to look at what I’m trying to sell. I know it’s my poor marketing ability. How do I improve it to where I can pretty much guarantee a sale?

I had the same problem as you are. I suggest that you make a blog out of this products you are selling in ebay. an under hosted blog will do for now but it would be preferable if you go for your personal domain. From there you can make back links to the items you are selling in ebay. You can also do some blog commenting while at it. It will generate traffic and visit.

You can also join social medias like facebook, friendster, multiply and etc to do social networking and marketing. This is a fun way to promote your products. There is a new site that’s soon to be launched and it offers free marketing training on-line. You can visit there site and join the group to enhance and become a better marketer of your business.

I agree with adrian, especially on the social side. But it needs to be done with delicate hands. Don’t be perceived as a spammer.

It will also help to get in the minds of your targeted audience prior to getting involved with any kind of marketing, be it social, paid or organic. I have had great success understanding my market and speaking to their pain points. This way it is easier to build long term relationships.
