There is so much crummy marketing spam out there in the world…be it email or television advertisements or radio ads, etc., etc. If you are a business owner, what is a good way that you would like to find out about a company in your area that can help your company? Fliers? Letters? Newpaper ads? And depending upon the advertising media, what sort of messages appeals to you the most? Get involved in local groups – Chambers of Commerce, networking groups like BNI, etc are integral to getting your name out there. Then, try introducing yourself to a few of the big businesses out there that are your ideal client. If your selling them a service that’s only a few bucks a month, ask the owner/decision maker for an appointment, and talk to him yourself. If the service is more involved, send a token gift, and follow up with a call/lunch/dinner appointment showing them you care about their business.
Either way, make sure you pay close attention to their needs, and show them that your company can meet and deliver on all of its promises, and address their needs.
Good luck!
