Email marketing

I need to know what kind of marketing, networking, email contacts, etc. that my wife can do from our computer while she’s at home with the kids? I make and sell rustic handmade log cabin furniture, mostly on the Internet.

I was just wondering if anyone knew if it was LEGAL to sell free email accounts.

I did a search for PS3’s and come accross a guy on eBay selling a Yahoo email account. This bid is under $5 so far, but it raises the question if it’s even LEAGAL to do this.

His screen name (eBay) is ‘delicategifts’ and in his description, he says that the winning bidder is to recieve the password to the account. He/she is putting some sort of marketing spin on it, making it sound like a goldmine to those who are trying to market PS3’s early.

Anyone ideas?

I’ve sold on ebay in the past here and there to get rid of some stuff I didn’t want, but now I want to start selling consistently to make a little more money on the side.

Do you have any advice regarding:
Proper ebay etiquette?
Marketing strategies?

Any advise about other resources for online business marketing and promoting my phone on line services without having to invest in a website? Would typepad, blogging pages or audio acrobat , teleconferencing sites be of use. It seems there are alot of add ons for websites that you can incorporate into your website but i dont have the money to do it all. could you recommend an online marketing and business tool to get my life coaching and affiliate project out on the internet without a full web? or Is there a reasonable web resource that includes the interactive stuff like audio , teleconferecing and ezines?

In my promotional marketing, do you think offering a FREE chapter is a good idea? (like a PDF they can receive via email autoresponder or website form request).

I am 24. I play guitars (advanced) and the piano. I am good at programming and puzzle solving. I am pretty much everything a perfect computer geek needs to be. I am planning to start off a company before which I will need to get a feel of how marketing works on the internet.
