How to setup and email database for my website?

OK… I set up a email form and a confirmation page. Then sent a test email. It worked, however, when I went to view it there was some sort of numeric code. What is this? What is it used for? And, the most important question…. NOW WHAT? Where and how do I store these emails into a database for use in a email marketing pgrm? Thanks.

In short, you need to know programming.

You are not telling much. I suspect that you used some kind of pre-built html from to send an email. But you didn’t tell me more about. These kind of scripts tend to be simple, and there is no database option to save the form/email.

You need to come up with your own program design or find some advanced program available. But since I don’t know anything about your website environment, your requirement and purpose, there’s not much to help you.

I am not exactly clear on what you are attempting to do, but it sounds as though you are attempting to create a web form that can collect email addresses. You then want these email addresses to be populated in a database that you can use for email campaigns. Is this correct?

If this is the case I think an integrated database solution would work best for you. You might want to check out our online database program, TrackVia –

With our program you can easily create a web form that matches the look and feel of your web site and all submissions will be automatically populated in a TrackVia database. You can then use our database solution to send an email campaign to those email addresses you have collected from your web form.

We have a free 14 day trial with support included if you’d like to try out our program. If you do, let me know how it goes.
