our dog passed away on memorial day, so we are now in the market for a new puppy. our 13 yr. old daughter would like to train this puppy for agility. small to medium size preferred as we don’t have the space for a large dog. please feel free to email me if you have puppies or know of puppies in the southwest michigan area. thanks!
i have already checked out these places. no luck. they are either way to expensive to adopt or too large. why would a person pay that kind of money to adopt a dog if the rescue group can come take it back anytime they feel like it? we take very good care of our dogs wouldn’t have anything to worry about anyway, but why take that chance? you have all this money wrapped up in a dog that can be taken from you without any chance of getting your money back. not me! otherwise i would prefer to adopt.

this puppy will be for 4-H agility obedience. possibly ukc agility trials. it would also be a much loved member of the family. we don’t care what the breed is, only that it must be small to small/medium. we don’t care if it is a purebred or a mix breed.

we already own a jack russel. she is very dog aggressive, so she is not suitable for agility. she will get along with any dog we bring into the house, but outside the house she is very aggressive towards other animals.
to sniffydogs: I AM NOT LOOKING FOR A BACKYARD BREEDER STARTER KIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just don’t have the money for the initial cost of an expensive puppy! I know the what it costs to keep a dog. I’ve had them all my life! I just don’t think its right that you pay out all this money to adopt, get it spayed or nuetered then they say they can come take the animal back anytime they want without a refund of all the money you have put into it. If they want to find homes for these dogs, maybe they should change some of their policies make it easier for people to adopt. I can go to the pound, pick out a dog for $25.00, get it fixed not have to worry about anyone coming for home visits taking them away when ever they feel like it. I just wish the pound had puppies. Otherwise that is where I would go.

I then asked him to help ease my doubt that this may be a scam or that the puppy wasnt healthy or registered because he was giving her away for free….

He replied:
Thank you for the mail back and your sincerity, really known how you
are feeling about this whole thing, and thats very wrong, if you are
thinking that I just wanted to take your money for nothing. When I
known how people worked and earn their money, I will never think of
taking some advantages over you and your money, please take that out
of your mind, that is really awful thing on the earth that I will
never think about doing. Please understand me better, I was not trying
to lure you into this, everything about me and my puppy are 100% real
ok, i will like you to know one thing i have the fear of God and i
such much believe in his words and i wouldn’t do such a thing when i
have blood running through my vain.And i want you to be more believe
that this transaction for real and good proof Thanks.

I am a very trusting person and beleive he is just wanting the puppy to go to a good home. What do you think? Is this a bad idea? What should I ask him? what can I do to ensure the puppy is ok?
