Email marketing

I used to receive an email containing an unknown link, after I clicked this link, all the people on my address book recieved the same email. So is it a hacker product or technique? And is there any similar product on the commercial market now?

For my company I want to send out a marketing email to 800+ brokers across the country for properties I am trying to get leased. However, I am unsure if their spam fitlers will block the email because of how many email addresses the email is going to. How could I figure this out without spending money for a special service?

The email has info about a stock market item, saying to buy now b/c the price will go up. But underneath it has a bunch of unrelated words. Some of which look like words i have seen before while surfing the web…..

At times I receive emails from people whom have heard me speak and whom have picked up my card. But lately I’ve been getting emails from sites that are solcitating for sexually oriented services. I do not want this adult material coming to me. In fact, though I report this as spam to Yahoo! I constantly get email from a site with a trumped up name and Hi in the subject. How can I stop this? I know it originates from the same source because the subject topic is always the same. Now, I’m getting even more email; today I received one with an attachment that had a virus. Please advise me how I can know if the email comes from a site that is marketing *** and not someone who has received my card and wants to communicate with me. Thank you.

If i am using a content management system to run my website and decide to hold data in its database in order to run a password protected area, what if any data protection considerations do i need to take into account? The data held will be Email, First Name and Surname, and of course username and password.
