I am a co-op student and my marketing project is to email garden clubs and offer them free samples of the garden products the company I work for makes. I need to know how to approach the clubs in my initial email so I want some insight into what they value most (ie free products, education, etc). This will help me choose my approach in order to get the largest response for my campaign. Any insight from gardeners/club members would be appreciated!

I have a customer list from my online business that is 20,000 strong with duplicates deleted. Unfortunatly my site has never offered a join our mailing list and now I have a list of 20,000 customers. I’d like to start sending out regular customer specials but I dont’ know if I can do this. I’d like to use iContact.com to do it.
I receive regular emails from companies that I buy from all the time. I’ll buy something from company a and within a week i’m getting a newsletter or a deal of the day type of thing. Always with an unsubscribe option. I received one today from a very reputable company saying you are receiving this because we have had a business relationship in the past….
Here’s my 2 questions:
1. Can I market to my 20,000 customers simply because I’ve sold to them in the past?
2. If no to question 1, can I send an email to all 20,000 asking them if they’d like to receive emails from my company. If yes, click here if no, you’ll not hear from me again.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
May

I am looking for a career change and was reading up on bulk email marketing for a particular job I am looking at. I am assuming that this would be done by a particular type of software. Does anyone know what type of software this would be so that I can read about it or if you know anything about the concept will you please share you experience.

Hi! My company sends out email blasts on a regular basis to an existing client base. We do these internally, though we plan to move to a service, we have to make do for a while. The blasts keep getting caught in spam filters. Is there a tool out there that we could send a test email to that would evaluate our communication and point out the red flags?
The blasts are going out via Outlook, unfortunately. We plan to move to a service, but lack the budget as yet to make the move.

I would like to send emails to specific people in public schools whom I believe would like to use my seminar. My question is, how do I do that? And, perhaps a second question, how would I gather the names of these people. For example, I would like to market my seminar to those people who specifically deal with special needs children. How do I gather the names of the people who work with these children, and, how do I send them an email with my seminar and sign-up information in it?

I am a co-op student and my marketing project is to email garden clubs and offer them free samples of the garden products the company I work for makes. The products are more expensive, electronic items so clubs will be given a choice of one of three products. I need to know how to approach the clubs in my initial email so I want some insight into what they value most (ie free products, education, etc). Should I just email and say free product or send them some research on a problem and how the products help solve it? Something else? This will help me choose my approach in order to get the largest response for my campaign. Any insight from gardeners/club members would be appreciated!
