This may sound like a no brainer, but in fact it is very hard. I have signed up for a free email account. I will not mention where. I have not sent any mail from it, and I have not entered this address into any online forms at all, other than to blogger, and I opted out of anything they might even think of sending me.
I know that people use crawling programs known as harvesters to gather data from websites, especially email addresses, so that they can spam them.
I need to know where a good prospect to set this email address so that a harvester bot will take it and email me. If it were the olden days I would have just picked a hotmail address and waited (automatic directory listing). Regular website users will have no worries. It will be very plain to the human visitors to the website that they should not email me, or not see the address at all. I am specifically after bot action. But kind of like real sharks, I need to know where they swim. Once on finds me, the blood will attract more. But getting that first nibble is rough.
My goal is to get spam rolling in, without using this email for anything other than this purpose.
If you **** spam, then help me rack my brain. If I can get the spam flowing in, it will change the Internet forever, as each one that hits me, will be taken off the market.
I never thought it would be this hard, but I want to avoid simple web browsers from emailing me, so I have made it very clear visually not to send me mail. But not one mail yet.
Thanks.
